Just like that, our lives have changed because of COVID-19.
Virtual Concerts while Social Distancing! Governments across the globe urge their citizens to enact social distancing. We must follow these warnings and do our best to stay at home to prevent the spread of the virus.
Social distancing effects all of us both economically and emotionally. But, thanks to many artists and organizations, we can enjoy some virtual concerts during this time and feel better!
Artists use social media to reach out to their fans with virtual concerts
With hashtags like #togetherathome and #instaband, artists like Coldplay, John Legend, and Keith Urban with lovely Nicole Kidman as his backup vocalist have already made our social distancing days more fun. And, it looks like many more artists are joining the trend and offering virtual concerts from their homes to ours.
The connection between Music and Mood
When we listen to music, we usually find ourselves moving, singing, or dancing. We exercise with music. All these movements help release endorphins and serotonin in the brain, and we feel better and more positive right after, which is what we need during these difficult times.
So, let’s enjoy these free concerts in the next couple of days in the comfort of our homes and in our pajamas, or we can pretend like we are going to a concert and dress up, too! Wishing everyone better days ahead. Stay safe and healthy!
